Our boards measure:

400mm wide x 400mm deep x 3mm thick. Boards are made of durable foam core and designs and images are directly printed onto each board which is then specially treated for the nail tech environment having taken the salon environment into consideration.

All Flat Lay Boards are printed with a high gloss finish to ensure excellent colour depth and finished with a matte vinyl layer which you are able to wipe with a micro fibre cloth when done in order to keep a perfectly clean surface ready for the next time you need it.  The matte finish not only protects your board but ensures that you have minimal glare when shooting your "next big thing".

We absolutely can customise a board for you BUT there are some fundamental rules which apply:

• you must supply us with high resolution images (300dpi) suitable for print onto the flat lay surface
• images must be sharp and colour excellent
• if you are supplying us with graphics we will require the files in vector format: PDF, AI, CDR
• there will be additional charges for customised flat lay boards which will be communicated with you once we have your brief

Turnaround time is 7 - 10 days but could be sooner subject to time of year and production schedules. Online items are in stock but when customisations and branding are required a longer lead time may be necessary for delivery.

Orders are delivered either by courier door-to-door or Postnet. Please do NOT schedule a shoot until you have received your waybill number and confirmed delivery time of your board/s.

Our couriers generally deliver from Monday to Friday between 08h00 - 12h00 and 14h00 - 17h00.

No deliveries over weekends and public holidays.

Shipping is local to South Africa only. We do not ship internationally at this time.

How do PostNet collections work?

• At Checkout, select "Postnet" as your delivery option
• Using the STORE LOCATOR, find your nearest POSTNET and enter the address and branch details in your shipping information
• The form, select the city and PostNet store where you'd like your order delivered
• When the order is shipped from our warehouse, it will be sent the the Postnet store which you selected
• You'll be notified by SMS when it arrives for you to collect
• You will require your ID/licence and the order number to complete the collection

Payment Options

The following payment options are offered on our online store. All online payments are fully secure with transactions handled by Payfast using the latest secure technology for your transactions.

• All Flatlay Boards are checked upon leaving the production line and again prior to and during packing for manufacturing defects.
• Flatlay Boards are to be checked upon receipt of goods to ensure product satisfaction. Should you find a manufacturing defect (not a colour variation between a computer monitor and the print process) i.e. the actual board is rendered unusable due do a manufacturing defect, this must be reported to Darkroom Design within 24 hours of receipt of goods failing which it is assumed that the goods have been received in good order. If returning because of a manufacturing defect, please ensure that the boards are carefully repacked to ensure that no further damage can occur.
• Returned goods must be reported by email to info@darkroomdesign.co.za within 24 hours of receipt of goods.
• Returned orders must be carefully wrapped and returned within 24 hours in original packing or similar to:
